Privacy Policy

Tandli is built to be private by design. This policy explains, in plain language, what the Tandli iOS app and this website (tandli.app) do and don’t do with information. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected].

The short version

• The app keeps your content on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking across apps. Your voice recordings, photos and your child’s details never leave your phone.
• The app sends us anonymous usage statistics (which screens and features are used) so we can improve it. They contain nothing you created and can’t identify you. You can turn them off in the app’s Settings.
• This website has no sign-up or contact forms, so it doesn’t collect personal data from you.
• We use privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics that don’t build profiles of you.
• We don’t sell your data. Ever.

The Tandli app

Tandli runs on your device and stores your content — activities, routines, pictures, settings, progress, and any voice recordings you make — locally on that device.

• No account. You don’t create an account or sign in to use Tandli.
• Voice recordings. When you record a step, the microphone is used only to save that recording on your device. Recordings are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
• Anonymous usage statistics. To understand which features help and where people get stuck, the app sends us anonymous usage events — for example “onboarding finished”, “activity completed” or “reminder set” — through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU. These events contain only short labels and rough counts: never your child’s name, your step wording, recordings, photos, reward names or reminder times. Your device generates a random identifier that is hashed before it is sent, so signals from one install group together but can’t be linked back to you, your Apple ID or your device. We don’t use it to track you across other apps or websites, and it isn’t shared with advertisers. You can turn this off at any time in the app under Settings → “Share anonymous usage statistics”.
• No advertising or tracking SDKs. The app contains no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking code, and never asks for tracking permission.
• Subscriptions. Purchases and the free trial are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment card or Apple ID credentials. Apple’s handling of that transaction is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
• Backups. If you use Apple’s iCloud or device backups, your Tandli data may be included in those backups under Apple’s terms and your device settings — not by us.

This website

When you visit tandli.app, the following applies:

• No forms, no sign-ups. The site has no account, newsletter, or sign-up form, so we don’t ask for or store your personal details. Downloading the app happens on the App Store, under Apple’s privacy policy.
• Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless. It gives us aggregate counts (like page views) and does not use client-side state to track you across sites or build an advertising profile.
• Hosting & security logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process limited technical request data (such as IP address) transiently to serve the site securely and prevent abuse.
• No advertising cookies. We don’t run ad networks or set advertising/tracking cookies.

Emails you send us

If you email us at [email protected], we keep your message and address only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We won’t sell or rent it, and we won’t add you to marketing.

Before Tandli launched, this site ran an email waitlist. That form has been removed and we no longer collect addresses this way. Addresses collected then were used only for the launch announcement they were given for — email us any time to have yours deleted.

Children’s privacy

Tandli is designed to be set up and managed by a parent, carer, teacher, or therapist. The app does not collect personal information from children — content stays on the device. This website is intended for adults; please don’t send us a child’s personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. The only personal data we might hold is an email address you sent us (or one given to the pre-launch waitlist), so you can exercise these rights simply by emailing [email protected] and we’ll delete it.

You can switch off the app’s anonymous usage statistics at any time in Settings → “Share anonymous usage statistics”. Because those statistics are anonymous, we can’t identify or delete a particular person’s entries — there is nothing in them that points to you.

International visitors

Our infrastructure (Cloudflare) operates globally, so limited technical data may be processed in other countries with appropriate safeguards. The app’s anonymous usage statistics are processed by TelemetryDeck in the European Union.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Tandli evolves (for example, as the app adds new capabilities). We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll be clearer still.
