About Tandli

What is Tandli?

Tandli is an iOS visual schedule app that helps autistic and neurodivergent children (ages 3–12) complete everyday routines one step at a time, guided by a parent’s own recorded voice, clear pictures, and a visual reward.

Why we built it

Everyday routines — getting dressed, brushing teeth, bedtime — can be some of the hardest moments of the day for autistic and neurodivergent children and the grown-ups who love them. The strategies that help are well known: visual schedules, first-then structure, task analysis, and a familiar voice. Tandli brings them together in one calm app, and puts a parent’s own voice at the centre of it.

Before and while building Tandli, we talked through the idea with special educators and had a parent of an autistic child try it. Their feedback confirmed a core belief: ready-made routines are a helpful starting point, but every child is different — so in Tandli, every step, picture, and reward is yours to change.

What we believe

How we write our content

Our guides and routine walkthroughs describe widely-used approaches drawn from special education, speech and occupational therapy, and parent practice. We aim to be accurate, practical, and plainly written, and we cite reputable sources where relevant. Health and developmental topics are reviewed for accuracy, and we add professional review credits to articles as reviewers come on board.

Tandli’s content and the app are educational support tools. They are not a medical device and not a substitute for professional diagnosis, assessment, or therapy. Always follow the advice of your child’s qualified professionals.
